Best Buy Scholarship
The Best Buy Scholarship was established by the Best Buy Children’s Foundation, an organization that strives to encourage children to innovate the technologies around them. This foundation has an array of after school programs and leadership seminars to help students reach their full potential. Since 1999, the scholarship program through Best Buy has been providing high school students with the ability to pay for part of their education in college. This may not be one of the highest paying scholarships for high school seniors out there, but it is still one to keep in mind. Best Buy Scholarship Eligibility Requirements
In order to apply for the Scholarship, you must be a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior in high school. You must be living in the US or Puerto Rico, and you must have a plan to attend college after you graduate from high school. There are no gender, age, or college major requirements for this scholarship, so all you have to worry about is succeeding enough to be a winner. If your applicant catches the attention of the review committee, you should be in good shape.
How to Apply
If you want to apply for the Best Buy Scholarship, you will need to fill out an application form on the foundation’s website. With this, you will be judged on academic merit, community service, and work experience. Thousands of students apply for this award every year, and 1,200 of them are selected to receive $1,000 for college.
