Stuck at Prom Scholarship

The Stuck at Prom scholarship sponsored by Duct Tape is one of the most creative and vibrant scholarships out there that attracts a lot of attention each year. Before you dismiss the idea as something that sounds boring, gray and sticky, consider this: duct tape comes in at least 17 colors as well as at least 7 different printed patterns. In the 10 years history of the scholarship, students have created elaborate, vibrant and truly outstanding dresses and suits. It is the perfect opportunity for students who want to wear something different for prom, or for students who have a knack for design.

The applicants must enter together as a couple, using creativity to design and wear an outfit made from duct tape to their high school prom. Applicants must be 14 years of age or older and legal US or Canadian residents, except in Colorado, Maryland, Vermont, the Quebec province, or Puerto Rico. Judges rate the outfits based on workmanship, originality, use of color, accessories, and use of duct tape. The grand prize is $5000 for the winning couple, as well as $5000 for their school. Create a Greeting Card Scholarship

If you are the artistic type, but drawing or photography is your strength, take a look at of The Gallery Collection’s “Create- a-Greeting-Card” scholarship, which awards $10,000 for yourself and $1000 for your school if you are the winner.
