3. There is also the Georgia HOPE Grant Program. The Georgia’s HOPE Grant, which is an entirely separate program from the HOPE Scholarship, is for registered Georgia residents who are enrolled in a Georgia public technical college or public college or university to earn a certificate or diploma. This grant is does not hold any regard to the high school graduation date or the student’s grade point average. To be eligible for the HOPE Grant, the certificate or diploma program must be approved by the Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education. If not, the student could be in a comparable program of study that is approved by the Board of Regents. The grant provides full tuition, approved mandatory school fees, and it also includes a book allowance of up to $300 per academic year at public educational institutions.
4. Georgia Law Enforcement Personnel Dependents Grant
Application is also available and it aims to assist the dependents of Georgia law enforcement officers, firefighters, emergency medical technicians, and prison guards who were killed or disabled permanently in the line of duty. It is pursued by providing funds toward the cost of education at particular eligible public or private postsecondary college and universities in the state of Georgia.
5. GSFC Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant: This aims to promote the private segment of higher education in Georgia by providing non-repayable grant funding to student residents in Georgia who enroll in chosen independent colleges and universities in Georgia.
6. Good news to aspiring radio operators in the high schools of Georgia. There is a scholarship called the ARRL Charles Clarke Cordle Memorial Scholarship and it is for amateur radio operators. This scholarship is worth $1,000. It is for students who have any active amateur radio license, a registered resident of Georgia or Alabama and a GPA of 2.5 and above. The course preference of these students should be in electronics and communications or related to this.
7. There is also the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the State of Georgia Scholarship which is supported by the said society. It offers two scholarships amounting to $1500 each to promote excellence in the study of American history and its preservation. Moreover, the scholarships aims to encourage students to pursue degrees and areas of specialization that would lead them to work in the preservation of history and related fields.
